We never thought we would have to say goodbye to "Macon County Dad" so soon. We know you are comforted by knowing with 100% certainty that Dave is waiting in Heaven for you. There are so many memories, so many laughs and smiles, so many examples of Dave selflessly giving of himself. We are especially thankful for all of the memories we shared with Dave and Terry on our wedding cruise in 2010. We will always remember the zipline in Haiti (and the food and supplies Royal Caribbean brought to aid Haiti), the dreadlocks in Jamaica, the cruise crawl, the STUNNING photos that we cherish that Dave took of the sunrises and sunsets over the ocean, of the fishermen in Haiti, and of our wedding day in Cozumel. We will always look up to your marriage as a beautiful example of what we are trying to achieve. We saw you love each other so fully and respect each other with you actions and your words. We saw you make each other feel special and appreciated consistently and effortlessly. We will miss you Dave and look forward to seeing you again in Heaven.
Love,
Nick and Kim Amsalem

Dear Dave's family,
My thoughts are with you and I know the Lord is with you in this hard time. In the short time I got to know you, the grace and strength of God on your lives was apparent, as was your obvious love for each other. My prayers are with you in the days ahead, and I look forward to seeing Dave and you again in heaven.
Sincerely,
Nathan, RN
